Me, The Change: Indore’s Voters Raise Safety Issues & Demand Jobs
The Quint spoke to young first-time female voters in Indore to know about their demands from their govt.

Every voter has certain demands, concerns and aspirations for the government. And elections remind them that their votes are cast, based on a party’s ability to meet these expectations. For first-time voters, their thoughts carry more weight as the youth symbolises the constant need for reforms in a democratic structure.
The Quint and Facebook have launched ‘Me, The Change,’ a campaign that discusses all these issues that concern the first-time women voters across India.
As a part of this campaign, we spoke to a group of students of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore, Madhya Pradesh who listed reservations, women’s safety, job security and equal opportunities as major electoral issues. The girls also spoke about exercising their right to vote to make the political parties aware of what’s wrong and what’s right.
