Mary Kom wished the Rio contingent luck, and discussed the problems faced by athletes training in the country.

Olympic bronze medalist MC Mary Kom landed some sharp punches when she spoke in the upper house about the conditions faced by Indian athletes.

The former Olympian began by wishing the Indian contingent luck at Rio. After that, taking a page out of her past experience as a boxer who represented India at various tournaments, Mary Kom spoke about the problems faced by athletes while training.

The Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Vijay Goel, responded to the queries of five time world champion and promised to increase funds and improve the condition of athletes in India.
