Hospitals Reluctant to Treat a 15-Year-Old Acid Attack Victim?

The 15-year-old victim was initially denied treatment by two known hospitals in Delhi.

A 15-year-old girl who was the victim of a brutal acid attack has been battling for her life in the ICU ward of Indraprastha Apollo hospital for the last month. But were hospitals initially reluctant to treat the wounded teenager?

On Monday, The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal wrote to Health Minister Satyendar Jain, seeking punitive action against Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Jasola and the Army R&R Hospital for allegedly denying the young girl admission when her family approached them on September 29 at 10 am.
