Athar Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan, the 23-year-old man from Srinagar who secured the second rank in the 2015-2016 Civil Services examinations, speaks exclusively to The Quint about the problems in Kashmir and what he’d like to do for his home state.

On the issue of the recent crisis in Handwara and frequent violence in Kashmir, he believes there needs to be greater engagement and dialogue and that the existing trust deficit needs to be bridged.
