This rural village in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato has no electricity, but that doesn’t stop its residents from keeping food fresh and chilled.

Ecoplanet is a fridge made from clay and doesn’t use electricity.

It works on solar heat and water to bring down the temperature of food stored inside, reaching temperatures between 8 and 14 degrees Celsius.
