Congress Releases List of Candidates in Delhi, Sheila Dikshit to Contest from NE Delhi

Congress on Monday released a list of candidates for six out of seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi. According to the list, former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit will be contesting the polls from North East Delhi, while Ajay Maken will contest from New Delhi constituency.

Attributed ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ to SC in Heat of Moment: Rahul

A day before Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s hearing at the Supreme Court in connection with a contempt petition filed against him, he has expressed “regret” for incorrectly attributing remarks on the Rafale judgment to the apex court.

In an affidavit submitted to the Court on Monday, 22 April, Gandhi explained that he had juxtaposed his ‘chowkidar chor hai’ slogan with the order passed by the Supreme Court allowing sensitive documents to be used in the review of the court’s December judgment on the Rafale deal, in the heat of the moment when speaking to the media on 10 April.
