Cop Apprehends Car With Drugs Contraband, Gets Thrashed By Dealers

A policeman was attacked in Asansol by drug smugglers for demanding to check a vehicle, later found storing drugs.

In a shocking incident, a senior police officer was attacked by drug smugglers in Asansol, West Bengal, when during a routine check of a vehicle. As it turned out, the car was found to hold a cache of cannabis.

The incident took place when the police were conducting a routine check on vehicles in the area. When one of the cars rushed pass them without stopping, it was chased by the police who found marijuana worth Rs one lakh in it.

As soon as they were caught red-handed, the smugglers inside the car attacked the police personnel, injuring an Additional Sub-Inspector.

Additional police forces had to be called in to control the situation.
