CCTV Video of Punjab Police Thrashing Youth Goes Viral
A youth was allegedly roughed up by policemen in Amritsar and a nearby shop’s CCTV camera captured the incident.
A video showing CCTV footage of a youth being thrashed mercilessly by the Punjab Police has gone viral on social networking websites.
Though the social media website page, where this has gone viral, says little about what exactly happened, another website explains the episode. The alleged victim’s name is Raghav Arora and the incident took place over the weekend in Amritsar.
The youth and his friend were stopped by the police when they tried to park a two-wheeler at a certain spot. When the youth tried to make a video on the cell phone while the police argued with his friend, he was allegedly roughed up.
The two victims are experts at installing CCTVs and could, therefore, access the camera footage of a nearby shop. Now they have registered a complaint against the two cops. Amritsar police authorities have promised to look into the matter.
