British Era Tunnel Discovered Under Maharashtra Governor’s House

A 150 metre long, 3 metre wide tunnel, which is around 12 feet high was discovered under Maharashtra Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao’s official residence.

The tunnel was built by the British and the entrance was covered with a wall. When some old timers told Governor that a tunnel existed during British times, he asked PWD to break the wall.

The President has been briefed about the discovery and experts have been deployed to ascertain the history of the tunnel.
