Blow-Back Theory Busted, US Drones Not Making Pakistanis Vengeful

A debate on the impact of drone strikes in civilian areas has begun after Taliban chief Mullah Mansoor was killed.

A myth has been doing rounds across the globe that drone strikes more harm than good. Human Rights organisations and some former US military officials have argued that death innocent civilians in drone attacks increases terrorism via ‘blowback effect.’

However, a recent study suggests that these claims may be way out of proportion as the Pew data on drone strikes is highly misleading. In fact, 73 percent respondents in this study endorsed drones. Is the myth busted?
