Fifty Dalit families in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore have requested Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s permission as they seek euthanasia. The plea comes after the Dalits allege that the land granted to them by the Congress government (nearly 15 years ago) has been occupied by musclemen.

They say they have been left with no means to sustain their livelihoods and hence have asked for being granted the extreme measure.

The families come from the assembly constituency of the Chief Minister.

The local administration has been helpless as the families have not been able to get justice, even after staging protests.
