Indian Premier League Season 11 is here. While there’s ‘egg-citement’ to see how the biggest buys of this season – Ben Stokes, Jaydev Unadkat, KL Rahul – scramble through the season, we have whisked a couple of Easter eggs you should not miss in IPL 2018.

Before the season starts with a match between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai SuperKings, it’s time to get cracking.

Among more popular players, Virat Kohli became the highest paid player in IPL history. He went past Yuvraj Singh’s record of Rs 16 crore (bought by Delhi Daredevils in 2015). MS Dhoni was retained by the Chennai Super Kings for Rs 15 crore.

Kohli will continue to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, as he has been retained by the team once again.

In IPL 2018 auctions, Indian fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat claimed a whopping Rs 11.5 crore deal with the usually thrifty Rajasthan Royals while Australia pacer Andrew Tye fetched a Rs 7.2 crore deal from Kings XI Punjab on day two of the IPL players' auction in Bangalore.

While Unadkat and Tye enjoyed a big pay day, 17-year-old Sandeep Lamichhane made history by becoming the first cricketer from Nepal to be bought in the auction with Delhi Daredevils picking him up for Rs 20 lakh.

After leggie Rashid Khan took home Rs 9 crore on the opening day, another Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Zadran, all of 16 years, was richer by Rs 4 crore when KXIP made the winning bid for the teen sensation.

Which of these players are you looking forward to? Tell us in the comments below.
