Padmaavat is not the first film to have have controversy spray-painted all over it. Even after quite a few modifications were made to the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, and even though the Supreme Court overruled bans imposed on it by state governments, the this Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh-starrer may not see the light of day in certain regions.

But hello, hello, this is nothing new! Our countrymen have been taking offence and agitating against a lot of films for a while now. Almost anything and everything on the big screen seems to offend us nowadays.

Here’s an interactive bioscope to give you a brief history of films that have offended our fragile sentiments. Swipe and see.
