What has been the most anticipated smartphones ever since its leaks and renders came out, the Oppo Find X has finally been launched in India at Rs 59,990.

It’s an Oppo flagship and the company has pumped in a lot into making this phone stand out. But, does all the bling and the super specs really make it the hottest smartphone ever?

We got a few minutes with the Oppo Find X and here is our first impression of the phone.

The overall design of the phone is something out of a Star Trek movie. Looks plush and despite its big 6.5-inch frame sits comfortably in the hand. The design is a glimpse into what future smartphones could look like and I surely am looking forward to it.

The Oppo Find X comes with Android Oreo out-of-the-box.

The display is an eye catching full HD+ AMOLED screen that is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This thing has absolutely no bezels and that is indeed one of the most striking feature of this phone. Would you believe a screen ratio 93.8 percent! Only the Mi Mix 2 comes closer at 91 percent.

Running the show here is Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. I didn’t get much time to load up apps or play any games or put the phone to the test but as soon I get the phone for a full review you can be sure to get a detailed report on that.

The phones comes with a sliding camera.

It comes with two storage options of 128GB and 256GB and apart from that there’s no option to expand.

The Oppo Find x sports a dual 16+20-megapixel camera.

The Oppo Find X camera is the game changer here. It pops-up! Literally! The motorised pop-up hatch houses both the 16+20-megapixel rear and the 25-megapixel front camera. The sliding hatch activates when the camera mode and the face ID unlock are activated. The slider stays hidden until activated. It houses multiple sensors like an infrared camera, a ranging sensor, a receiver and also a dot projector.

Absolutely no notch here! Yay!

The camera interface isn’t complicated and smooth to navigate. Won’t dive into the picture’s quality yet as I am reserving that for the review.

At the helm of it all, is a 3730mAh battery pack that supports fast charging technology.

This is a very progressive and innovative move by Oppo and one that can be considered bold. To hit the flagship segment in a market where the Samsungs and iPhones are dominating speaks how confident Oppo is about this offering.

But, the biggest questing to ask is, will you buy an Oppo phone at Rs 59,990?
