Yu, which is Micromax Mobiles’ subsidiary brand, launched the YUFIT smartband. YUFIT is a wireless wristband that works in tandem with a dedicated app to dynamically monitor fitness levels, set alarms and reminders.
YUFIT is priced at Rs 999 and will be available through Amazon.in for registered users. Registration starts at 12 noon, July 21 onwards.
The first sale will be on July 29 at 12 noon.
YUFIT is also supported by companion apps and is available on the Google Play Store (HealthifyMe), and the Apple App Store.
The first 1000 customers will get access to a fitness trainer at no cost. This is one unique feature of the band as it offers YUFIT experts who work with the user’s data to provide customised advice on a regular basis, and to keep the user motivated and on track to success by goal reinforcement.
The YUFIT interface lets you monitor steps walked, calories burnt, and daily goals reached.
The band also has notifications for incoming calls by means of an OLED display mounted on the band and device vibrations.
YUFIT has competition from smartbands by Xiaomi and GoQii right now.
