OnePlus 3T has been a dominant force in India. The way its taken all flagships head-on speaks volumes of its performance capabilities. What really makes the OnePlus 3T so attractive is its price tag and its impressive spec sheet, not to mention that there are hardly any competitors out there to stand up against what OnePlus 3T offers.

Now, with the Xiaomi Mi 6 already out in the Chinese market, there is no doubt that it will be launched in India sooner than we can say of Xiaomi. This means that OnePlus 3T needs to gear up for some serious competition.

But, before the Mi 6 comes to India, why not have a spec battle between the two Chinese superphones?

Display: Is Bigger Really Better?

The OnePlus 3T display has done well till now. It comes with an AMOLED full HD screen with 401 ppi, which is protected with Gorilla Glass 4. The Xiaomi Mi 6 sports a 5.1-inch LCD screen that has a 1080x1920 resolution and pumps 428 ppi.

Nothing to separate the two here. Though the bigger AMOLED screen might seem to give the 3T an upper edge, the greater pixel count on the Mi 6 balances the equation.

The All-Powerful Xiaomi Is Here

Step aside OnePlus, this is Xiaomi territory. The Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and an Ardreno 540 GPU makes the Mi 6 a beast of a phone.

Although the OnePlus 3T also comes with 6GB RAM but somewhere, the lower tier Snapdragon 821 chipset inside it is the ‘Achilles Heel’. No doubt that the performance from both is snappy but some extra points to the Mi 6 for the upgraded chipset.

Xiaomi's 'Double Dhamaka' Optics

These days dual camera on phones is dime a dozen, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Mi 6 sports a 12-megapixel dual camera system which, on paper, beats the pants off the 16-megapixel sensor of the 3T.

However, having said that, the OnePlus 3T recovers in the front camera department with a 16-megapixel shooter as compared to an 8-megapixel camera on the Mi 6. As the Mi 6 rear camera is being touted to be as good as the iPhone 7 Plus snapper, we’ll wait for the device to come to us to give a final verdict on the camera’s quality.

It's All About the ‘mAh’

Battery back-up on both is almost the same and somewhere we feel that is not enough. the OnePlus 3T comes with 3400mAh of battery juice while the Mi 6 is packing a 3350mAh battery.

Since both come with fast charging technology, you won’t have to leave either on a charging socket for long.

Where to Put Your Money?

You can’t pick a winner here. Not now, at least! The specifications on both these phones tell us that they are equally competitive contenders for the flagship-killer crown. But, to draw a clearer picture of which phone is better, we’ll wait for the Mi6 to come to India.
