When social networking platform Twitter went down, people were left confused when their screens went blue. As reported by most users across the globe, Twitter on mobile and PC was not working for a 10-15 minute period because of a technical fault reportedly stated by the micro-blogging platform.

The first Twitter shutdown happened on 18th January at 7 pm IST. The second came at 2:30 pm IST while the next blackout happened again around half-past five. It was down again at 6:30 pm IST.

Considering it’s usually the first place where news breaks, everyone was wondering what to do because they couldn’t tweet that Twitter was down.

Now that it’s back, #Twitterdown is trending, which for all reasons considered, was a #facepalm moment.

Here’s what Twitter has to say about the problem and when we can expect the issue to be resolved.
