Google’s new filings have revealed that CEO Sundar Pichai received a huge pay bonus when he was elevated to his current position in October 2015.

His compensation package for the year 2015 was of $100.5 million. That’s more than Rs 650 crore a year. And guess what. He’s expected to get a 100 percent salary bump in 2016 which will take him to $200 million.

This makes Sundar Pichai the world’s highest paid Indian executive.

Larry Page elevated Pichai to CEO for Google after he created the holding company Alphabet, which owns Google.

Pichai was already in-charge of every major product at Google.

The filing also shows Google’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have been taking a compensation package of just $1 for years.

Just to put things in perspective Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had an annual compensation package of $84.3 million and Pepsi’s CEO Indra Nooyi had a compensation of $19.08 million (Rs.126.5 crores).

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook had a compensation package of $10.3 million in 2015.
