Here’s How You Can Get a Free HD or 4K TV With Reliance JioFiber
Reliance JioFiber’s broadband service has been priced between Rs 649 and Rs 8,500, and some plans also include a TV.
Reliance Jio announced the prices and plans for its JioFiber broadband service on 5 September, which comes bundled with a 4K set-top box and home security solution. But more importantly, Jio has finally revealed the process to get the free TV it promised.
Turns out, anybody signing up for JioFiber will have to pay a hefty amount of money as EMIs for over 12 months, to get either a HD (720 pixels) or 4K (1440 pixels) resolution TV.
The fine print of how to get the TV are out, and it’s worth noting that you need to get the JioForever annual plan to get either the 24-inch HD TV or the 43-inch 4K TV. Interested to know more? Check all the details below.
To get the TV, consumers will have to sign up for plans which cost a minimum Rs 2,499 monthly or the Diamond plan, as Jio has labelled it.
With the Diamond plan, you get 500Mbps speed, up to 15,000GB data usage over a period of 12 months. In terms of pricing, this comes to around Rs 29,988 or Rs 2,499 per month. As a part of the JioFiber Welcome Offer, consumers get a 24-inch HD TV with this plan. In addition to this, they also get an annual subscription to leading OTT apps. We still don’t know which apps will be offered as part of this scheme with any of the plans.
Next up, you have the Platinum plan, which comes for Rs 3,999 per month. With this plan, you get 1Gbps speed, 30,000GB data usage over 12 months, which comes to Rs 47,988 or Rs 3,999 per month.
As a part of the JioFiber Welcome Offer, consumers get a 32-inch HD TV with this plan. In addition to this, they also get annual subscriptions to leading OTT apps.
And finally, it’s time to know how much it’ll cost you to get the 4K TV with the JioFiber service.
So, if you go for the Titanium plan, as part of the Welcome Offer, the subscriber gets a 43-inch 4K TV. In terms of other benefits, you get speeds up to 1Gbps, 60,000GB over a period of 12 months.
All this come to about Rs 1,01,988 or Rs 8,499 to be paid every month. In addition to this, they also get annual subscription to leading OTT apps. We still don’t know which apps will be offered as part of this scheme.
Now it’ll be worth seeing how many people are really keen on getting that so-called ‘free TV’ from Reliance Jio, that too after reading through all this. There’s no such thing as a free lunch after all.
