Reliance Jio website has crashed and the pre-book option stopped on the MyJio app amidst surge in people looking to prebook the JioPhone.

Pre-booking of the JioPhone 4G VoLTE device was to start at 5.30 pm on 24 August on its website, Jio.com, and the MyJio app, but that hasn’t happened so far.

Jio.com crashed right after the pre-booking went live.

People on social media shared their frustration, while some people wondered why they have to sign in to register for the JioPhone.

We’ve tried both the steps to pre-book ourselves, and while the website refuses to open despite multiple tries, the MyJio app does not offer pre-book JioPhone option, much to our surprise.

There doesn’t seem to be much excitement around the JioPhone in brick and mortar stores, as they have not received many queries about it.
