Reliance Jio is all set to launch JioFiber broadband service in the country, and those who opt for it, could possibly get free internet for 3 months via JioFiber Preview offer. We had come across the service going live on Jio.com last month, so it doesn’t surprise us that Jio is finally geared up to offer high-speed internet to all.

The telecom operator isn’t resting on its 4G laurels (all thanks to free and affordable internet), and the work to roll out its home internet service have already started in the form of trial services.

The company is reportedly offering its internet service to consumers in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Surat among others for now.

The details of the cities where JioFiber is being tested was highlighted by Jio’s support service @JioCare, while responding to a user. The Twitter handle also added that more cities will form part of the testing phase very soon.

JioFiber has been in the works for many months now, with Mumbai and Pune being the first set of cities where the service was rolled out.

Consumers in these areas have shared speeds as high as 70Mbps, available via JioFiber, that works with the bundled JioFiber router. It is being said that users subscribing to JioFiber will have to shell out between Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,500 as a one-time payment for the device.

Jio’s service like Jio Movies and Music will work in tandem with FTTH (fiber to the home) service, which the company claims will offer up to 1Gbps of internet speeds.
