Have you ever closed your eyes to picture a thinner you, while slogging at the treadmill? Willing yourself to go the last kilometre?
You can put your imaginative powers to rest now.
A new app called ‘Visualize You’ shows a slimmer, post-weight loss version of the user. To generate a thinner version of a photo, the app asks for current weight, height, target weight and a ‘before’ photo of the user.
It then uses algorithms and 3D imaging to transform the photo to show a ‘realistic’ version of the post-weight loss body.
The makers are marketing it as a ‘motivation’ app that allows people to see the effects of weight-loss in a more realistic way.
To really see whether the app really works, The Quint decided to do a little experiment. By placing Quint staff under the scanner!
