PUBG fans have more excitement to look forward to in the latest update of the game which is offering not only a new map called Sanhok, but also more weapons, better gameplay and more vehicles to drive.

Tencent has been very regular with its updates for the game and has always looked to making the multiplayer experience better in PUBG. This is exciting news for the daily active user base of the game, which has now crossed 20 million.

The new PUBG Mobile 0.8.0 update will take about 1.5GB of your data storage and is available on Google Playstore and 2GB on Apple app store for download. Apart from some customisable pick-up settings, achievements, anti-cheating measures, the game also has progress missions, Royal Pass and more.

The new PUBG update offers more weapons.

The new maps have to be downloaded individually inside the game menu. In terms of weapons the new Sanhok map introduces a new Flare Gun, QBZ automatic rifle, a Duckbill shotgun, a new Muscle car which accommodates four players and another bulletproof car.

The new Sanhok map is one-fourth the size of regular PUBG map.

The Sanhok map is smaller in size compared to the already existing Erangel or Miramar, but still features 100 players per match.

The structures and houses have been revamped.

There have also been some improvements in the chat system, clan rankings, air drop items, friends list and more.

More places and hot spots to hide! Sniper paradise.

Gaming experience is much tougher than what we see on the other maps as there is a lot of green on this map that acts as camouflage. It’s a tropical setup altogether and most of the houses and surroundings give the feeling like you are in some Southeast Asian country like Vietnam.

With this update, the challenge for other online multiplayer games like Fortnite gets tougher as the popularity of PUBG keeps growing on a daily basis.
