Motorola’s Moto Razr carries high nostalgic value – as much as the Nokia 6600 or even the 1100. Which is why we keep hearing news about the phone coming out in a new avatar and that gets the world’s attention.

This week, a report via Slashleaks suggest the Moto Razr could indeed launch sometime soon, and the latest avatar of the phone could sport a foldable design or even a foldable screen.

The image shown above puts the rumoured phone next to a prism-shaped box and there are other pictures which clearly suggest that it will be a foldable device, but nothing like the Samsung Galaxy Fold or the Huawei Mate X.

The Moto Razr V4, as the report calls it, is unlikely to pack flagship features and hardware, which could likely make it accessible to budget conscious buyers.

The foldable design process of the Moto Razr, as shown below, could be the likeliest method to adopt, and one that might be feasible to offer without pricing the product out of reach for millions.

This foldable design rumours of the Moto Razr could be the real deal.

As we all know, Motorola was bought by Lenovo from Google a few years back, and since then, the US-based mobile giant has struggled to compete with its rivals.

Products like the Moto Razr could not only catapult the brand’s fortunes, but also help in reshaping its focus towards smartphones in markets like India, where it has lost its top of segment position to other brands like Vivo and Realme.

The yesteryear’s Moto Razr was liked for its simplicity and design language which kept it different from brands like Nokia and BlackBerry. The name itself resonates with people from that generation and the new avatar of Razr could do the trick in 2019 for the company.
