In addition to confirming the launch of the Surface Pro 4 Windows 10 tablet in India, Microsoft has said that the Lumia 950 and 950XL smartphones will debut in the country by December 2015. This was confirmed by Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella earlier today.
The Lumia 950 and 950XL phones are the logical successors to the Lumia 925, but the company is touting the phones’ camera to be at par with the top-end Lumia 1020 that came with a 41MP snapper.
The Lumia 950 includes a 5.2-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with hexa-core CPUs. The Lumia 950XL has a 5.7-inch display and a Snapdragon 808 processor with octa-core CPUs.
The 950 and 950XL handsets feature a 20-megapixel rear camera, have up to 32GB of storage, 4K video and use liquid cooling technology. Microsoft said storage on the phones could be expanded to up to 2 terabytes, even though currently available memory cards offer up to 200GB of space.
Both the Microsoft Windows 10 phones will be available as early as December 2015 according to Microsoft. The prices of the phones are yet to be released.
