Home grown tech company Micromax launched the thinnest and lightest smartphone ever, the Sliver 5.
The Micromax Sliver 5 is is just 5.1mm thick and it weighs at 97 grams. Micromax has priced the phone at Rs.17,999.
Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 runs Android Lollipop out of the box and rivals the Oppo R5, the Gionee Elife 5.1, the Vivo X5 Max on thickness parameters.
The Sliver 5 sports a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display with a 720p resolution, and is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor backed 2GB RAM. There is 16 GB internal storage and has a 2,000mAh battery. Canvas Sliver 5 is a single SIM smartphone that is 4G LTE compatible.
The primary camera on the Sliver 5 is an 8 megapixel one and for selfies there is a 5 megapixel front facing camera. Micromax has used Sony IMX219 sensor with blue glass filter and a Pro mode on the camera of their new phone.
Micromax had ropped in Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman as its brand ambassador in 2013.
