After Complaints, HDFC Takes Down Mobile App From Android and iOS
HDFC took down its mobile app after users complained about glitches in its revamped version.
HDFC Bank users have been complaining that its mobile banking app on Android and iOS has been acting weirdly for the past few days, forcing the bank to take down its app from both the platforms.
We cross-checked on both the platforms, and the main HDFC mobile banking app was missing from the app listings.
The bank was facing issues with its revamped app as users said that the app was non-responsive and some people were not able to open their bank accounts via the app.
Responding to the concerns of the users on social media, HDFC tweeted its apology note on Thursday, 29 November.
Strangely, HDFC admits users who downloaded the new app and deleted the older one, will have to rely on other services like Netbanking or use PayZapp to avail banking features.
The HDFC Bank had released its new app, with features like fingerprint and facial recognition for Apple’s iPhone X.
The interface of the app was also overhauled for ease of use and the account holder could add profile pictures.
It’s not known why the new app has thrown up bugs.
