If you’re keen on buying a laptop, and budget is no constraint, then we’d ask you to take a look at the Latitude 7285 2-in-1 device from Dell. Why so? Because, this is the first-ever notebook that lets you charge wirelessly.

Yep, your prayers have been finally answered, with Dell becoming the first mainstream computer technology company to make wires and adapters redundant. Having said that, this laptop is going to cost you a lot... I repeat, a lot. You don’t get the wireless charging option with the laptop, you need to buy the accessory that supports the feature.

The Latitude 7285 from Dell lets you charge wirelessly via its charging dock, which goes underneath the laptop (as seen above). But one needs to keep in mind that the charging pad needs to be connected to a power source.

This charging pad is similar to how smartphones can be charging without plugging in anymore. You have high-end phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 (wireless pad), which again, ensures you’re not caught up untangling wires.

So, the big question – how much is a ‘lot’? Well, as Dell puts out on the website, you can buy the Latitude 7285 starting from $1,200, while the charging pad costs you another $250. However, the technology comes with its set of restrictions as you need to make sure the pad isn’t placed on a metal surface.

The charging pad isn’t completely wireless, but the fact that you don’t need to connect the Latitude 7285 via an adapter, does bring a touch of convenience.

The Latitude 7285 gets a 12-inch display, powered by Intel Core i5 processor, with 8GB RAM, and starts off the lineup with 128GB SSD storage.
