Xiaomi isn’t satisfied just by launching its 4K Mi TV for under Rs 40,000, which is why the brand has now added another pair of televisions to its Mi TV line-up, which starts, believe it or not, from Rs 13,999 onwards.

No, this is not a joke. The latest in its television catalogue is the Mi TV 4A, that will be offered in two sizes; 32-inch and 43-inch, which will cost you Rs 23,999.

Both these TVs will go on sale via Flipkart on 13 March, and Xiaomi claims that unlike the stock issues it faced with Mi TV 4, the Mi TV 4A series will be sufficiently available.

So, what is so special about these two Mi TVs?

What you get with both these sizes of the Mi TV 4A and their price tag.

As you can see, these are probably the most affordable smart TVs you can think of buying in the country. But unlike the Mi TV 4, which comes with 4K resolution support, these two get HD (720p) and Full-HD (1080p) quality for the 32-inch and 43-inch sizes respectively.

Both these Mi TVs are powered by the same PatchWall UI which we first saw on the Mi TV 4 few weeks back.

Xiaomi has created PatchWall, an Android-based interface. Mi TV 4 comes bundled with this remote too.

Both TVs weigh 7.43 kg and pack a 20W speaker, which Xiaomi claims will be loud enough for Indian consumers. They also get the same quad-core processor, paired with 1GB RAM and offering 8GB storage. It’s also good to see Xiaomi adding more ports to these two TVs, which, as they claimed, is what the buyer really wants.

More ports in tow of both these Mi TVs.

You get multiple HDMI and USB 2.0 ports and a headphone jack, along with an ethernet port for those who still rely on wired internet connection in their homes.

32-inch HD Smart TV for Rs 13,999. That’s the Mi TV 4A.

It’s quite clear that with products like these, and prices too, Xiaomi in 2018 is eyeing its smartphone-like success in the television segment. Granted, the entry-level TV space will be a different ball-game, but competitors need to match up now, or else, their fate will be similar to that of its smartphone peers.
