Three years after Samsung was forced into an embarrassing recall of its Galaxy Note 7 devices over exploding batteries, a South Korean Galaxy S10 owner posted photos of the phone scorched beyond recognition this week, reported AFP.
While the smartphone user claimed his phone had burnt "without reasons," the tech giant said that "external impact" had caused the damage and not an internal glitch.
The user claimed he had to drop it as it was extremely hot.
Samsung had touted its new Galaxy phones as the world’s first available smartphones with built-in 5G communications.
The model was released on 5 April as South Korea aims to take the lead in new technologies
The 2016 recall cost Samsung Electronics billions of dollars and shattered its global image.
