As expected, Apple launched three iPhones on Wednesday, 12 September, the iPhone XS, XS Max and the XR. These phones will come to the Indian market by the end of this month, but how much are they going to cost and what features do they offer this year?

Here's everything you need to know about the new iPhone series.

In terms of the design, the iPhone XS and XS Max have nothing new to offer. Even Apple hardly talked about the looks and the design features of these devices. The notch is there, the screen to body ratio is very high, with a small chin size.

The phones will come in three storage variants – one 64 GB variant, one 256GB and a 512GB variant.

The new iPhone XS and the XS Max have a dual camera setup with two 12 megapixel sensors, one wide-angle and one telephoto sensor. The wide-angle sensor has an f/1.8 aperture while the telephoto sensor has an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there is a 7-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

All three iPhones pack the same A12 processor, which means the performance matches up to what the latest flagships offer.

In addition to the iPhone XS and the XS Max, Apple unveiled the iPhone XR which was supposed to be the ‘affordable’ version. As it turns out, the iPhone XR in India will be available from 26 October onwards, with prices starting from Rs 76,900.

At this price, the cheapest iPhone is still expensive than this year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which can be bought for Rs 67,900. The iPhone XR doesn’t get an OLED screen, and the build quality pales in front of its bigger and more expensive cousins.

It sports a 6.1-inch LCD screen with 1792x828 pixels resolution and this means you’re getting a display that’s low on quality, especially for its price.
