Volkswagen Launches Polo GT Sport in India Starting At Rs 9.31 L
The Sport variant of the Polo GT from Volkswagen comes in petrol and diesel variants.
Volkswagen is the latest auto brand in India to launch its Sport version four-wheeler. The German brand has announced the Polo GT Sport, which is priced starting from Rs 9.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The GT Sport will be available in both TDi and TSi variants. Those who don’t want to opt for the Sport variant will have to pay Rs 9.1 lakh for the TSi and Rs 9.2 lakh for the TDi models.
The Polo GT Sport packs a new set of interior and exterior features, giving it a much-needed design reboot, giving it a sporty touch, according to Volkswagen.
Polo now gets 16-inch alloy wheels, glossy black roof and the Sport badge. When it comes to the interiors, Polo GT offers leather-finished seating.
In terms of power and torque, the 1.2-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TDI engine offer 105 PS and 110 PS respectively. We would have liked the Polo GT Sport to be offered on the new global platform that Volkswagen has designed.
For this price tag, and that added Sporty touch, they’ve set eyes on competing with Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno RS and Ford’s Figo Sports in the market.
