Just a few days ahead of the grand opening of the Auto Expo 2018m, TVS Motors couldn’t wait to lift the curtains off their new scooter, now on display at the Expo Center in Greater Noida.

The two-wheeler market is really heating up in India. According to TVS, every third two-wheeler sold in the country is a scooter, and they are looking to strengthen their grip in this segment with this offering.

The TVS Ntorq has been launched for Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The 125cc scooter is the production version of the TVS Graphite Concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo in 2014.

The Ntorq comes with a very sporty design and graphics. The apron houses the headlamp cluster which looks beastly. It comes with indicators placed on the handlebar cowl. Standard DRL (daytime running lights) and a fully digital instrument cluster are some of the other attractions on the new TVS Ntorq 125.

The fuel tank cap on the outside! Thank God!

The fuel cap is placed on the outside and the rear also sports split grab rails. The scooter also comes with 12-inch diamond cut alloy wheels along with telescopic suspension.

Overall the scooter looks very nimble and something that will be easy to maneuver in heavy traffic as well.

The headlamp cluster has been given a very sporty look.

The two-wheeler houses the new generation CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine that pumps out maximum power of 9.4 PS @7500 rpm and 10.5 Nm@5500 rpm of maximum torque.

The company claims that the scooter can hit a top speed of 95 kmph.

Perhaps the biggest feature of the TVS Ntorq is that it is the country’s first scooter to come bundled with Bluetooth technology. Running on TVS’s SmartXonnect technology, one can pair an Android phone (KitKat 4.4 OS or higher) to the scooter via the TVS mobile App which can be downloaded from Google Play Store. There is no app available for iPhone users as of now.

It comes bundled with features like navigation assist, top speed recorder, in-built lap-timer, phone-battery strength display, last parked location assist, service reminder, trip metre and multi-ride statistic modes such as Street and Sport.

The scooter will be on showcase at this year’s Auto Expo and will hit the market soon after.
