This Crashed Porsche 918 Is Fetching $100,000 on Sale!

Yes that’s right, a crashed sportscar is going up for auction with a bid of $100,00.

It might sound absurd but that is what it is – a Porsche 918 Spyder that has been almost totalled, is going for $101,000 (as of now) on Copart.

Yes, a feat of engineering reduced to a chunk of metal and carbon-fibre, that only Porsche 918 fans could recognise, is still worth more than your brand new regular car.

The car has only run 92 miles on the speedo, or 147 kilometres, and it is the 830th unit. Why is the 830 important? That’s because only 918 units of this car were ever built.

Seems like nowadays, crashing a limited edition sportscar can still get you enough moolah for four brand new Ford Mustangs.
