One of the best selling models from the Suzuki’s stable is its hatchback – Swift, and the model has achieved a big milestone. Launched in November 2004, the model has garnered cumulative worldwide sales figure of more than five million units. Such a large demand requires a large production capacity as well. To that effect, the Swift is currently produced in seven countries including Japan, India, China and Pakistan.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in 2005 and got itself a facelift in 2014. In India alone, 2.7 million units of the Swift hatchback and sedan models have been sold so far.

It accounts for almost 30 percent of Suzuki’s annual sales in the country.
