Honda has launched yet another unconventional two-wheeler in India, called the Cliq. If the Navi wasn’t enough, the Japanese brand now feels confident enough to unleash this gearless two-wheeler, targeting youth who’d rather buy a stylish scooter, than settling for good ‘ol Activa.

Within 50K price range, Honda is competing in this segment with its own products like Navi, and Activa, even though the latter is a 125-cc scooter.

So, what does the Cliq offer for this price? Honda claims Cliq comes with more legroom than the Navi, and storage under the seat.

Cliq is powered by the tried-and-tested 110cc HET engine (that is BS IV compliant now). Honda has placed the Cliq as a unisex two-wheeler, with its gearless driving, low-height seats and its lightweight nature.

But what separates Cliq from rest of the gearless pack is its advanced braking system, that’s going to be a standard for 125-cc scooters by next year.

CLIQ comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology. (As per Government regulations, CBS will be mandatory on all two-wheelers up to 125cc engine capacity from April 1, 2018)

CBS ensures that breaks between front and rear wheels simultaneously function by pressing the left lever. And yes, before you start wondering, Cliq packs the mobile charging socket, tubeless tyres, and maintenance-free battery.
