With Honda bringing back its popular sedan Civic, there were quite a few comebacks at the Auto Expo 2018. And the CB250R motorcycle’s re-launch proved that the car segment wasn’t the only line up that featured comebacks this year.

This sporty Honda bike was removed from the company’s product list in 2017, but the Japanese automaker is all set to welcome it back in a new avatar. Here’s a first look at the bike.

The bike gets new-look graphics, adding to its overhauled design.

The company refused to give a launch date, but we expect the bike to make its official release sometime in the coming months. This is a new-look CBR250R that still packs the same 249cc liquid-cooled engine with fuel-injection in tow, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The bike looks leaner, which for a sports bike is just what you need.

Honda claims that the new CB250R can offer 26.5PS of power and 22.9NM of torque. It’s got dual-channel ABS now, which was absent in the previous version.

The seating posture remains the same, but the pillion gets much needed space to sit.

Most of the upgrade comes about in the design department, such as LED headlamps on the sports bike.

Honda should consider pricing CBR250R competitively.
