Facelifted Chevrolet Cruze Launched in India at Rs 14.68 Lakh
Chevrolet Cruze gets a much-needed facelift and will also come with automatic transmission.
General Motors India has launched the new Chevrolet Cruze sedan, which will be priced between Rs 14.68 lakh and Rs 17.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new model is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre diesel engine and comes with both a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission, the company said in a statement.
The Cruze is now equipped with features like the ‘MyLink’ Infotainment System and rear vision camera as well as new LED daytime running lights among others.
GM India claims that as per ICAT, the automatic transmission version of the new Chevrolet Cruze delivers fuel economy of 14.81 kmpl, while the manual variant returns a fuel efficiency of 17.9 kmpl.
The car will go against the Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Octavia and the Hyundai Elantra.
While the competition has pulled itself up to date and launched new variants which look quite modern when compared to the Cruze, what the company should have done is launched the latest model of the Cruze that the company sells globally, instead of just giving the old model a facelift.
