Apple Watch Series 4 Comes With New Electric Heart Rate Sensor
Apple introduced the new Series 4 Apple Watch with fresh new features and a bigger curved display.
Apple started its most anticipated event by introducing the latest, fourth generation of the Apple Watch. After announcing the company’s milestones like 500 million yearly visitors and 2 billion shipped iOS devices, Tim Cook introduced the new series 4 Apple Watch.
The Apple watch, Cook said, is not only the number one smartwatch in the world but is now the “number one watch in the world.”
The new Apple Watch has been given a new, 30 percent larger curved display than the third series watch. It is also thinner and has a completely new shell and a new user interface, with a new Watch Space and new faces.
The user interface is optimized for the larger display, allowing for app icons and fonts that are bigger and easier to read, while complications have been enhanced to be more precise and informative.
One of the most interesting features on the Apple Watch Series 4 is that it enables customers to take an ECG reading right from the wrist using a new ECG app.
With the app, users touch the Digital Crown and after 30 seconds, receive a heart rhythm classification. It can classify if the heart is beating in a normal pattern or whether there are signs of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition that could lead to major health complications.
The new Watch can also detect falls. There are certain movements that happen when a person falls. The new watch detects these movements to detect a fall.
It also asks if you want to call emergency after a fall. If it detects more than one minute of immobility, it calls emergency relief on its own.
The new watch will be be launched on 14 September and will cost $399 for the non-cellular variant and $499 for the cellular variant.
