Yogeshwar Dutt may have returned empty-handed from the recent Rio Olympics but it looks like he’s just bagged himself an Olympic silver.

In a tweet this morning, the ace wrestler himself announced the upgrade, joining Sushil Kumar as India’s second Olympic silver medallist in wrestling from the 2012 London Games.

These developments were sparked off after Russian wrestler Besik Kudukhov was stripped of the silver he won in London for failing a dope test. The result was revealed on Monday evening. Yogeshwar, having won the bronze in the same category, has moved up the podium and is now a silver medallist from 2012.

The Russian wrestler, however – a four-time world champ and bronze medallist from the 2008 Olympics – had since passed away in a car accident in 2013.
