The Indian women’s hockey team, led by senior team’s striker Rani Rampal, went down to The Netherlands 0-1 at the Volvo Invitational U-21 Tournament in Breda in Netherlands today.

Carmen Wijsman of The Netherlands scored a field goal in the 33rd minute without giving a chance to the Indian goal-keeper.

Thanks to Wijsman’s strike, The Netherlands led 1-0 at half time.

Both the teams kept up the pressure on each-other through the match.

While The Netherlands were looking to consolidate, the Indian eves were aiming at an equaliser, which never happened.
