Vijay Mallya is truly a man of his words. After receiving “wide and sensational” media coverage on his presence during India vs Pakistan match at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground, the absconding liquor baron had tweeted on how he intended to watch all games.

And so he did. The 61-year-old was again spotted at the ongoing India Vs South Africa match at The Oval in London on Sunday. Accompanying him were chants of “Mallya is a chor (thief)” and “boos”.

This comes after he recently made Team India “uncomfortable” at Virat Kohli’s charity event in London, which prompted the team to leave early in order to avoid any controversy.

The business mogul, whose now defunct Kingfisher Airlines owes Indian banks Rs 9,000 crore, fled the country in February 2016 and was briefly arrested by the Scotland Yard on 18 April on India’s request for his extradition.
