Yuvraj Singh has had an illustrious career. A World Cup winner who beat cancer and managed to return to the highest level of cricket, Yuvraj’s story is one that can inspire quite a few in keeping a ‘never-say-die’ spirit.

After announcing his retirement from international cricket, Yuvraj has been a globetrotter, playing in different leagues around the world.

He played for the Toronto Nationals in the Canadian T20 League and most recently, suited up for the Maratha Arabians in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

The Arabians won the tournament, and were aided in the final by a blitzkrieg by Yuvraj, who smashed two sixes and a four for 23 runs. After the win, Yuvraj posted on Instagram claiming that despite his fluctuations in form, his class will always stay the same.

Overall, Yuvraj had a disappointing campaign for the Arabians, scoring just 43 runs in three games. He was also struggling with injury and missed a few matches for that.

While the superstar cast starring Chris Lynn and Dwayne Bravo around him carried the team through, Yuvraj showed up in the finals.

After scoring 23 in just 12 balls, Yuvraj accelerated the Arabians batting en-route to defeating the Deccan Gladiators by 8 wickets.

Yuvraj is expected to continue playing in T20 leagues across the world, as his career winds down. The man who was named Player of the Tournament in India’s stunning 2011 World Cup win may suffer from inconsistency, but on his day, he will always be one of the finest cricketers in the world.
