The No.4 position in the Indian batting order has been the most debated topic in the recent past. The Indian team has tried many players for that position but none could survive for long.

Ex-players, experts, fans and, in fact, just about everyone has been suggesting different players for that batting slot - be it Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer or Manish Pandey. Now a new name has come up for debate.

Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh recently shared an image on Twitter which says that Suryakumar Yadav should be given a chance for the No. 4 position considering his form in domestic cricket. Yadav scored 81 runs off 31 balls for Mumbai against Chhattisgarh in the Vijay Hazare trophy.

Harbhajan wrote in his caption, “Don’t know why he doesn’t get picked for india after scoring runs heavily in domestic cricket. Suryakumar Yadav, keep working hard.. your time will come.”

Former Indian cricketer and a very close friend of Harbhajan, Yuvraj Singh was quick to respond to his post. He took a dig at Virat Kohli and the team management by saying that since the top order is ‘too strong’, India don’t really need a Number 4 batsman.

He wrote, “ Yaar I told you ! They don’t need a no 4 top order is very strong.”

Recently, in an interview, Yuvraj had said that the Indian team management had been unfair to him and dropped him despite the veteran cricketer passing the Yo-Yo Test.

Yuvraj said he was never informed that he would be dropped and the manner in which it was done, hurt him.
