Indian players visited Hong Kong’s dressing room after a thrilling match on Tuesday, 18 September. In a video posted by BCCI, players were seen chatting and posing for photos with the Hong Kong lads after the match.

Hong Kong, who only have an ODI status for the ongoing Asia Cup, almost handed India an upset after skipper Anshuman Rath and Nizakat Khan’s record 174-run opening partnership.

After a colossal century by Shikhar Dhawan, India looked feeble in the second innings and struggled to manage a 26-run victory over the minnows.

Indian bowlers failed to make an early breakthrough, and the fielders looked sloppy as well. In the absence of skipper Virat Kohli, India’s unimpressive performance in its first match is a point of concern for cricket fans.

India is set to play the big clash with Pakistan on 19 September.
