A few days ago, Charulata Patel, an 87-year-old Indian fan became an internet sensation after she caught the attention of viewers on television during the India- Bangladesh match at the ICC World Cup, and was tweeted about by cricketers and fans.

After their win, Indian captain Virat Kohli had specially gone to meet the elderly and thanked her for her support.

However, this is not where the story ends! During their meeting at the previous match, Kohli had promised to get his special fan, tickets for the upcoming games. And, he made sure it was done!

Accompanying the tickets was also a note by the Indian skipper, which was shared by BCCI on their twitter handle. ‘Dear Charulata ji, It is so inspiring to see your love and passion for our team and I hope you enjoy the game with your family. Lots of love and regards. Virat,’ the note said. Along with the note, the board also shared a photo of Charulata Patel watching the India-Sri Lanka match at Leeds with her family.
