Vinesh Phogat, who won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, has not been mentioned at all in the movie Dangal – a film on wrestling coach Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, which released on Friday.

The film mostly talks about Mahavir’s eldest two daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, and it has forgotten his adopted daughter (Vinesh), who has won many accolades at the international level.

Watch The Quint’s interview with Vinesh right before she participated in the Rio Olympics.

After Vinesh’s father Rajpal passed away in a car accident several years ago, Mahavir adopted the wrestler and her siblings.

If a movie has been made on the Phogat sisters, then Vinesh should have certainly featured in it.
