Twitter Pulls Up Pant For Making a Silly Mistake While Keeping
Rishabh Pant collected the ball in front of the wicket which is considered as a no-ball while stumping Liton Das.
Rishabh Pant had another forgettable moment behind the wicket, at Rajkot in the second T20I against Bangladesh on Thursday.
During the sixth over of the first innings, a stumping chance was created on Yuzvendra Chahal’s delivery. Batsman Liton Das stepped out of his crease and was unable to make contact with the ball. Pant, in order to attempt a very fast stumping, made a very silly mistake.
He collected the ball in front of the wicket, which is considered as a no-ball. The wicket keeper has to collect the ball behind the wicket in order to stump out a batsman.
As usual, twitteratis were quick to react to Pant’s poor performance behind the wicket. Fans compared him to Dhoni once again and demanded for the latter to come back into the team. And, of course, there were memes.
