Indian cricketer Suresh Raina took to Twitter to let his fans know that he was alive, after some YouTube channels posted videos reporting his death, last week.

In a Tweet, Raina wrote, “Past few days there has been fake news of me being hurt in a car accident. The hoax has my family & friends deeply disturbed. Please ignore any such news; with god’s grace I'm doing absolutely fine. Those YouTube channels have been reported & hope strict actions will be taken soon”

Taking a picture posted on his social media earlier where Raina can be seen sleeping and another of Sachin Tendulkar at the funeral of his coach Ramakant Achrekar, the YouTube channels claim that Raina had a road accident last week and passed away.

As tweeted by Raina, the below YouTube links have been reported.

The Indian cricketer is currently preparing for the Indian Premier League where he plays for the Chennai Super Kings. This year’s tournament starts on 23 March.

Raina last played for India during the limited-overs leg of the tour of England in June-July 2018.
