Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Wednesday, 27 November, clarified that his children Arjun and Sara are not on Twitter, and asked the social media platform to act on the fake accounts using their names.

“I wish to clarify that my son Arjun & daughter Sara are not on Twitter. The account @jr_tendulkar is wrongfully impersonating Arjun and posting malicious tweets against personalities & institutions. Requesting @TwitterIndia to act on this as soon as possible,” wrote Sachin in a tweet.

Sachin likely posted this tweet asking Twitter to remove the account after the account in question, @jr_tendulkar, had tweeted '#IAmWithDevendra', ostensibly in relation to the Maharashtra political crisis. The tweet has now been deleted.

Arjun Tendulkar was picked in Mumbai’s team for the Bapuna Cup, organised by the Vidarbha Cricket Association, in September.

Arjun, a left-arm fast bowler, played for India U-19 in 2018 in the series against Sri Lanka wherein he was part of the four-day squad.
